Hasko Jewelers was established in the early 1950's when a watchmaker named George Hasko created his watch sales and service in the Old Towne of New Cumberland.  In 1956 George Hasko opened the existing building at 215 Third Street, New Cumberland PA, for his Retail Store of fine Jewelry, Watches & Gifts.  George would also provide services such as leather embossing, jewelry repair, watch repair and engraving.  Creedon Fertenbaugh was hired in 1958 as a watch repairman.  Creedon brought along his previous experience of clock and mechanical watch service.  George, wife Helen and Creedon worked together servicing the New Cumberland downtown and surrounding communities until 1969.  Creedon became new proprietor of George Hasko Jewelers upon the retirement of George Hasko.  Creedon and Armillda Fertenbaugh maintained the operations of the Jewelry store, with 5 children born over twelve years.  Each had some experience and contribution to the development of the family business.  Local members of the community also were hired on and aided in the future of the store.  As time went on Merchandise selections changed with the transitions of the industry.  Services were added to meet the demands of the customers as the jewelry trends changed.  The youngest member of the family Bryon Fertenbaugh was presented with the opportunity to become sole-proprietor in 2008 after Creedon's 50 plus years of dedication to the Central PA communities and the Jewelry Industry.  It was contracted on June 1st of 2011 that Bryon Fertenbaugh was the new owner of Hasko Jewelers LLC.  At Hasko's we continue to strive on solving difficult & unique customer requests.  Some examples would be; hard to find Jewelry special orders,  customized jewelry design, service & repair of family heirlooms & antique time keepers.  We also have an ongoing changing inventory of Jewelry in the cases for customers to browse and shop for all occasions.  While you wait services are provided for minor jewelry & watch repairs.  This includes to name a few: batteries, band adjustments, ring guards, jump rings. etc.  -  So as you can see Hasko's is all about old fashion service where you will find a jeweler you can trust.
